• Reiki is a non-invasive, gentle, yet powerful method of healing. Reiki energy, (described as `universal life energy' or `spiritual energy') which is accessed by the practitioner during a treatment, enhances the body's natural healing ability and promotes wellbeing.
  • Reiki treatment stands on its own as a healing practice and is also safely used to support orthodox and complementary medicine. It is increasingly accepted in health and community care facilities including hospitals, hospices and cancer support units.

"The Reiki volunteers at the SolarisCare Cancer Support Centre within Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth, Western Australia, are part of a team of professional complementary therapy practitioners. They provide a valuable support service to all areas of the hospital that is much appreciated by patients, carers and staff."
~ David Oliver, Executive Director, SolarisCare Foundation.

"Reiki is my lifeline."
~ Betty Beutel, aged 89, who has found great comfort through learning Reiki and receiving regular treatments since contracting a debilitating virus several years ago.

"Our 15 month old son Baxter was undergoing treatment for cancer, and we were at a really low point when I was introduced to Reiki by a friend. He began to receive Reiki treatments regularly, and we started to see some real differences in his treatment outcomes. He is now in complete remission and has returned home. I attribute this outcome to a combination of modern medicine and Reiki, which resulted in a holistic approach to his treatment and recovery."
~ Noni Burke

"Reiki treatment has a calming, settling effect on those who are agitated. Recipients of Reiki also generally express feelings of `peace', wellbeing' and spiritual `upliftment' with a greater ability to sleep after a treatment."
~ Eileen Chapman, founder Reiki Clinic, Windana Drug and Alcohol Withdrawal and Assessment Program.

"I can affirm Reiki as an invaluable part of holistic hospice care. It works beautifully in conjunction with palliative medicine and counselling to provide a sense of peace in end-of-life care... At Hopewell, many of our residents have received Reiki throughout their time here, from the day they arrive until their death. It has helped to manage pain, treat anxiety and promote peace"
~ Cath Maddox, Coordinator of Counselling, Education and Complementary Therapies, Hopewell Hospice
