A residential weekend with Phyllis Furumoto
Phyllis is the spiritual lineage bearer of Usui Shiki Ryoho, the form of Reiki lineage and practice that was brought to the west in 1937 by her grandmother, Hawayo Takata.
Venue: Joondoburri Conference Centre Bribie Island, Qld
Dates: 25th and 26th October 2008
In Phyllis' own words:
"Practice, practice, practice' was a phrase that I heard in every class I attended in which Takata Sensei was teaching. This phrase has rung in my ears for all these years.."
To Phyllis Furumoto the practice of Reiki is not a technique but a way of being that develops as the student matures in the practice. This is not something that can be learned; it must be lived and experienced.
This is a time for us all as members of the Reiki community to put down roots to care for the practice of Reiki, thereby settling into a deeper place in our own practice, with each other and as a whole community.

An opportunity for all Reiki students and masters.
Venue: Swanbourne Surf Life Saving Club, Swanbourne
Date: Sat 13th Sept 2008
As people have researched the historical person of Mikao Usui, questions have arisen that sometimes create conflict when the `history' does not match the history that is told by masters in classes. Phyllis Furumoto will provide a context that can help to create a connection to the essence of the system, and inspire our own Reiki practice.

Presentations by Reiki master, Marta Getty
September 2008
proudly sponsored by Reiki Australia
Brisbane - 6th September
Melbourne - 10th September
Perth - 17th September
Marta writes:
From working with the family tree, it has been easier to understand more clearly who I am in this human existence, but also to find my deepest ties to family, and appreciate the wisdom and wonder held in previous generations of family.
I believe that genetically we carry physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imprints and that how we act, how we respond and how we love is seriously influenced by those who have gone before us.
In our travels through life we are often accompanied by the experiences and demands of unfinished business left to us by our ancestors.
As a result of her personal journey to heal her family tree, by using an application of Reiki, Marta has reached a new and richer understanding of her place within her own family lineage. In these presentations Marta will talk about how she experienced the release of pain held within her family tree, and the gifts of wonder, wisdom, and changing relationships that this has brought about. She will also take you through her development of the program that she now faciltates for others so that they too may heal their own family tree with Reiki. Marta will offer "Healing the Family Tree" program in Australia next year commencing May 2009.
If you have ever wondered about the place you hold in your own family, or whether family relationships past, present and future could heal, you won't want to miss Marta's presentation.
