Lindy Hou - Beijing Paralympic cycling results

Congratulations to paralympic cyclist and Reiki Australia member, Lindy Hou, on an awesome Beijing campaign. Vision-impaired Lindy, and her pilot, Toireasa Gallagher, stood on the podium twice during these games, claiming a bronze medal in the 1000m time trial and silver in the 3000m pursuit.

Lindy placed 4th in the 20km Time Trial on Friday 12th Sept, and just 2 days later lined up for the arduous 70km Road Race on Sunday 14th Sept. Lindy says that after 6 × 12km loops, with a 1km rise at the start of each loop, they tried to chased down the third bike in the last 250m, but could not catch them and finished 4th, narrowly missing a medal.

Reiki Australia wishes all our Australian Paralympians well for the remainder of the Games, and applauds ABC TV for giving extensive coverage to the courageous efforts of disabled athletes.
