Coralea Mackison

Since learning Reiki, I have often wondered 'What would I do without my Reiki?"

I have been providing Reiki healing to assist clients achieve positive outcomes for their health and wellbeing for more than 20 years. This simple healing art brings comfort and balance, optimising the client's own self healing mechanisms.

It is important to me that clients experience Reiki in it's simplest and most beautiful form, so I don't incorporate other modalities or energy healing practices into a Reiki session.

This practice has brought wonderful people into my life. A big part of this has been through my volunteer community service with Reiki Australia which spanned 18 years. At various times during this period my roles included Director, Editor and Operations Manager. It was such an enriching and rewarding time that I encourage fellow Reiki Australia members to consider contributing their time, skills and passion to the work of the association.

My Journey

In 1996 I was faced with a health crisis and traveled to Sydney to learn Reiki. I had previously experienced Reiki from family members: once following a fall and another time during a bout of influenza. On both occasions I gained surprising relief.

During the class, I had the profound experience of knowing my true self for the first time. Wow! And I left the class with an unfamiliar feeling of trust and optimism.

I began to treat myself, my family, children and even pets and plants with Reiki. Sometimes the results were miraculous.

The greatest gift to me was always knowing that I could do something to help, even in the middle of the night.

As my confidence grew, I began to offer Reiki healing alongside massage therapy in my existing Sunshine Coast clinic. Reiki brings support at a physical, emotional and spiritual level. I have been privileged to provide Reiki treatments to many people over the years and to have witnessed the beneficial effects of Reiki upon all kinds of conditions: from stress, anxiety or insomnia through to injuries, influenza and chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes and cancer. I have also assisted clients to maintain optimism and a sense of wellbeing as they endured rigorous and invasive treatment programs. Reiki is a valuable support for anyone undergoing treatments for cancer or recovering from surgery and complements conventional medicine extremely well.

I hope to meet you soon!

My Vision

I wish to continue growing, learning and allowing Reiki to bring its influence into all aspects of my life. To share Reiki with those who are seeking relief from their pain -whatever form that expression of pain may take.: Is it physical? is it emotional or mental, or perhaps their is a vague sense of spiritual ache?

And importantly, to honour the lineage into which I was trained -Usui, Hyashi, Takata and Furumoto.

Gratitude always to my teachers Sharron Mackison and Wendy Watson who have initiated me into this wonderful practice and from whom I always learn more.
