Learn Reiki
Reiki is a gentle, holistic practice that supports wellbeing on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. It is commonly offered through hands-on sessions and is taught through structured training.
Reiki Australia does NOT deliver Reiki training directly.
Training is offered by independent Reiki Master/Teacher Members, and the directories below help you explore courses offered by our members.
Reiki Levels
Level I (Shoden) — Introduction & Self-Practice
Level I begins with a Level I attunement (as taught by the provider) and introduces the foundations of Reiki practice. Training typically includes the history and principles of Reiki, hand positions, and guidance for self-treatment and offering Reiki to others in-person, within the scope taught in that course.
Level I practice continues from the Level I attunement until the student undertakes Level II training and attunement.
Level II (Okuden)
Reiki Level II expands on a students Reiki skills to include distant healing and use of Reiki symbols.
Course content covers the introduction to the 3 main Reiki Symbols that enhance healing power, enable distance healing, and mental/emotional healing.
By the end of the course practitioners can send Reiki energy remotely and apply Reiki in more versatile ways
Reiki Level III Shinpiden
Level III is commonly taught as a Reiki Master level focused on mastery of Reiki practice and deeper personal development.
Training may include the Master symbol and advanced practices taught by the provider, alongside deeper meditation and energetic refinement.
Teacher’s Path
Some providers also offer teacher training as a separate pathway beyond Level III for those who feel called to teach Reiki. The structure and requirements vary between providers.

Finding Your Teacher
Reiki is learned through relationship — with the practice, with yourself, and with the person who guides the door open. Alongside the practical details, trust your felt sense. Notice whether your body softens as you read their words, whether you feel welcomed, and whether their presence feels steady and respectful.
A few grounded signs can help:
Safety: you feel respected, unhurried, and free to ask questions.
Clarity: the teacher communicates what’s included and how the training is held.
Integrity: their language stays grounded, with clear boundaries and scope.
Support: you sense space for integration, not only information.
Resonance: something in you quietly knows: this is the right next step.
And an old saying reminds us: “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.”
