Step into your true calling with confidence

So, you’ve decided to take the plunge and step into the role of professional Reiki Treatment Practitioner. You’re excited about moving beyond personal practice and you feel called to offer Reiki beyond family and friends. You’re taking it to the next level!

Your family and friends have all reported that they ‘can definitely feel something’ when you provide Reiki and you know that energy flows right? You know the power of Reiki because you’ve experienced it for yourself. What an amazing service to be able to offer others.

Except when we move beyond our comfort zone and embrace the ‘business’ of Reiki the dream of taking our spiritual and healing practice to the masses suddenly looks a little shaky.

Now instead of the encouraging noises from friends, complete strangers are asking pointed questions. But how does it work? What does Reiki actually do? Where’s the evidence? How do you pronounce Reiki? Do I have to take my clothes off? Who ‘invented it’? Will you be able to cure my irritable bowel syndrome? Do you share my notes with anyone? What happens if I injure myself at your clinic? What are your qualifications?

Whoa … you can see how it can all get a little overwhelming very quickly. I have had all of these questions at one time or another over the years and believe me if you’re not prepared with the answers it can shake your confidence! This in itself would be a crying shame because each and every one of us know Reiki works and we know how beneficial – and well – just amazing it can be when applied to our daily lives.

In order to feel confident in your abilities, and present a professional ‘shop front’, it’s vital to invest a little bit of time and energy into bringing your ‘business’ brain up to speed.

By business brain, I’m talking about balancing your ‘positioning’ with your ‘responsibilities’ as a ‘professional’ service offering to the public.

In terms of ‘positioning’, the number one challenge Practitioners report is that they worry about a lack of ‘credibility’. Those Reiki Practitioners who step up to the plate in a professional scenario have a real desire to be seen as a trusted, credible practitioner – whether in their own clinic or in a medical environment.

Regardless of where you physically ‘practice’, you have specific responsibilities to your clients. These responsibilities cover everything from creating a safe, clean and hygienic space for a Reiki session to take place, to secure record keeping, insurance and even first aid.

This can all seem a little daunting when you consider you simply want to help people – but if you truly feel called to help the public it’s important to put appropriate building blocks in place.

Here at Reiki Australia we understand the old dichotomy between ‘business/money’ and a ‘spiritual practice’, but the reality is you need to have some awareness of your responsibilities to be in a position to promote the benefits of Reiki in a professional capacity.

We realised support was needed in this area so we created a certificate course in professional development for Reiki Treatment Practitioners.  The course covers six key areas – you could say – the six building blocks to a successful, ethical spiritual and healing business.

The great thing about this particular course is that it’s been developed by qualified educators and Reiki professionals – exclusively for our community.

The depth of insights, first-hand experience and the knowledge-share across all six units provides a real business advantage to Reiki Treatment Practitioners in the professional setting.

Instead of worrying about a lack of credibility, imagine ‘knowing’ with certainty you are equipped and qualified to build a thriving Reiki Treatment Practice?  Imagine knowing you are supported and backed by Australia’s leading Reiki organisation. By doing the groundwork, having a sound knowledge base and systems in place, you will feel empowered on a business and professional level, giving you the confidence to step into your true calling on your spiritual and healing path.
